Spider veins

Facial or leg spider veins resemble small red threads or chronic redness caused by the dilation of blood vessels.

Nd-YAG Laser

Spider veins

Nd-YAG laser rays (1064 nm) penetrate deeply into the vessel and capture the red oxyhemoglobin present within it. When the laser light is converted into heat, the red particles become more intense, allowing the vessel to be destroyed through coagulation. In addition to its proven effectiveness, this type of laser does not damage the surrounding tissues.

Nd-YAG Laser (Spider Veins)

Nd-YAG lasers are used to eliminate vascular lesions such as angiomas, redness, and spider veins.

Comfort

Is the treatment painful?

You may feel slight pinching during the treatment. While it may be uncomfortable, it is not painful.

Indeed, all Nd-YAG lasers are equipped with a cooling system to enhance comfort during and after the treatment.

Frequently asked questions about spider veins treatment.

The treatment lasts 30 minutes. It is likely that you will feel warmth and a sensation similar to light pinpricks during the session, but a very cold air flow is directed onto the skin to reduce these effects. Both the client and the technician must wear protective glasses throughout the procedure.

Results appear from the first session. One to three sessions may be required depending on the area and type of redness. A minimum interval of 8 weeks between each session is recommended. You can define a treatment protocol tailored to your needs with a member of our team.

Nd-YAG laser rays penetrate deeply into the vessel and capture the red oxyhemoglobin present within it. When the laser light is converted into heat, the red particles become more intense, allowing the vessel to be destroyed through coagulation. In addition to its proven effectiveness, this type of laser does not harm or damage the surrounding tissues.

When applied directly to an area of a defined diameter, the Nd-YAG laser can reduce or destroy dilated vessels or capillaries. A series of laser pulses is performed along the length of the vessel to treat it. Under the effect of the absorbed heat, the vessel walls coagulate and then sclerose (selective destruction of the vessel and its contents). The sclerosis of very fine red or purple vessels can occur instantly, causing them to disappear.

Swelling and redness may appear after the treatment and can last for a few days. It is also possible for small brown scabs, achromias (depigmentation or light marks on the skin), and hyperpigmentation (dark spots) to form on the treated areas, but these are temporary.
