Redness, couperose, rosacea

Women with fair skin are more likely to experience facial redness. This often comes with an increase or decrease in visible blood vessels (couperose), which may be accompanied by diffuse redness (erythrosis). Areas such as the nose, cheeks, and chin tend to be the most affected. Most individuals with various forms of redness can benefit from our redness treatments.

IPL Photorajeunissement V30 de Viora

Redness, couperose, rosacea

Using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), we can reduce skin imperfections by targeting specific tissues or components of the skin. This technology allows us to offer a wide range of treatments, including reducing redness, acne, and pigmentation spots, while also being an effective solution for photorejuvenation.

Different treatments can be performed on each type of tissue depending on the wavelength used, giving IPL a broad spectrum of applications. With this technology, we can deliver visible results in very little time.

Depending on your goals, one to three sessions spaced two to three weeks apart are recommended to achieve optimal results.

Is the treatment painful?

You may experience slight tingling sensations similar to small elastic snaps on your skin. Superficial bruising may also occur after treatments, but it usually disappears after a few days.

IPL treatment is strongly discouraged for individuals who are frequently exposed to the sun. In fact, it is important to avoid UV exposure for the month following each treatment.

Frequently asked questions about redness treatment (couperose or rosacea)

The presence of redness on the face is a common symptom of rosacea and couperose. Redness is a physiological condition of the skin, while rosacea is a skin disorder. Couperose, on the other hand, is a form of rosacea.

Rosacea makes the skin on your face highly sensitive to various triggers. It is essential to identify these triggers in order to better prevent the appearance of new redness and pimples caused by rosacea.

Makeup: Different ingredients in certain cosmetics can irritate your skin and make it more sensitive.

Diet: Spicy or overly hot foods, as well as certain alcoholic beverages, can also impact your skin.

One to three treatment sessions may be necessary, but the number varies depending on each individual’s condition. We recommend multiple sessions to ensure a gradual and safe improvement of your imperfections. Additionally, the treatments require no downtime, so you can resume your activities after each session.

Redness will tend to worsen when not properly treated, making it increasingly difficult to conceal. That’s why it’s important to begin treatment as soon as the first signs of couperose appear. The number of sessions required varies depending on the number of “defective” blood vessels to be treated.
