Eight to twelve sessions are recommended, but the number varies depending on each client’s needs. It’s important to be cautious of ads claiming that all hair will be removed after just four to six sessions, as some hairs can take up to 18 months to grow in certain areas of the body. Since the laser is only effective when the hairs are in the right growth phase, it is nearly impossible to remove all of them in such a short period. Therefore, every time you purchase an 8-session package at Dermanaissance, you are entitled to a 50% discount on your 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th treatments.
Approximately 80 to 90% of hair is reduced after 8 to 12 laser treatments. In fact, no laser is capable of removing 100% of the hair; electrolysis is the only technology that can achieve this. Since it treats each hair individually, the process is much longer. The most cost-effective and efficient solution is to treat the hair with laser over a period of about 2 years, then complete with electrolysis if needed. As the remaining hairs regrow after several weeks, they are much finer and lighter than before, making them less bothersome. Additionally, the hairs need to regrow before electrolysis treatments can be performed. Therefore, you will need to let your hair grow, even during the summer or holidays, while laser treatments allow you to shave at any time.
