By using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), we can reduce skin imperfections by targeting specific tissues or components. This technology allows us to offer a variety of treatments, including reducing redness, acne, and pigmentation spots, while also being an effective solution for photorejuvenation. Different treatments can be performed on each type of tissue depending on the wavelength used, making IPL a highly versatile technology. Thanks to this method, we can deliver visible results in a very short time.

It is recommended to plan three to six sessions spaced four weeks apart to achieve optimal results.

Comfort

Is the treatment painful?

You may feel slight tingling sensations similar to small rubber band snaps on your skin. Superficial bruising may also appear after the treatments, but it usually disappears after a few days.

Laser or IPL treatment is strongly discouraged for individuals who are frequently exposed to the sun. It is important to avoid UV exposure for one month following each treatment.

Frequently asked questions about pigmentation spot treatment

Age spots and/or sun spots are considered pigmentation spots because they increase the level of pigmentation in the skin.

Pigmentation spots can be caused by irregular melanin production in the skin. These irregularities are often triggered by prolonged sun exposure, poor air quality, a diet low in antioxidants (such as vegetables), smoking, alcohol, and the use of certain medications, among other factors. Pigmentation spots can also appear due to significant hormonal changes (during pregnancy or when taking hormones, contraceptives, etc.).

Pigmentation spots typically appear around the age of 40.

Age spots, lentigos, or sun spots
Chloasma, melasma, or pregnancy mask (these spots are caused by overproduction of melanin, hormonal imbalances, contraceptive pill use, etc.)
Freckles (these spots are hereditary and can intensify with sun exposure)
Moles or beauty marks (these spots are generally flat and congenital, their size/shape is variable and they should be closely monitored)
